| Description | ClearGLASS has a hard coded 8GB minimum memory requirement. On many systems with on-board video, they share the memory between the system and video. As an example, on a standard ClearOS HP Microserver with 8GB RAM, "cat /proc/meminfo" shows: MemTotal: 7620908 kB This means ClearGLASS cannot run because it is marginally short of memory. Perhaps this would be a good lower value to start using (The Microserver has a BIOS option to reduce the Frame Buffer from Auto (256M) down as far as 32M. This raises the available memory to 8104236 kB, but still not the full 8GB.) Please note there is no ClearGLASS category in the bug tracker yet. | ||||||||

I'm not sure if the actually packaging checks for memory, or you're talking about the Marketplace restriction...The MP restriction is set in JSON coming from the SDN...we can change it to whatever we like, whenever we like...no updates required. B |
