| Description | Restore of an AD environment fails to create /var/samba so Samba fails to start. The following error is logged in the server smbd log: [2019/01/14 10:24:49.737071, 0] ../lib/util/util.c:217(directory_create_or_exist) mkdir failed on directory /var/samba/drivers: No such file or directory [2019/01/14 10:24:49.737272, 1] ../source3/printing/nt_printing.c:101(print_driver_directories_init) Failed to create printer driver directory /var/samba/drivers [2019/01/14 10:24:49.737316, 0] ../lib/util/become_daemon.c:111(exit_daemon) STATUS=daemon failed to start: Samba failed to init printing subsystem, error code 13 Manually creating /var/samba allows samba to create /var/samba/drivers when it starts. The fix may be better placed in the deploy/install file of app-samba-core or somewhere like that. | ||||||||
