Summary | 0001897: Trial period for paid services in the marketplace
Description | The paid services in the ClearCenter marketplace provide a lot of value & convenience. Remote backups, remote security audits, etc. http://www.clearcenter.com/marketplace/ [^] However, sometimes users will want to try before they buy. It would be nice to have some sort of free trial period, say 30 days or 60 days for them to confirm that the app does what it's supposed to. It could be a formula where they agree to pay in 30 or 60 days unless they cancel. Or perhaps they pay upfront and there is a mechanism to cancel and keep that amount as a credit. If they cancel, the app should uninstall itself or be deactivated somehow. Thanks!

The ClearOS Professional 30-day evaluation includes free access to most of the paid apps -- we can't do it for some apps (e.g. Kaspersky). It would be nice to have a similar option for the Community Edition, especially those apps that are handy in home environments. |
