Summary | 0019471: WPAD issues with old interfaces
Description | If you configure a USB NIC interface as Static, LAN then move the NIC to a different port, if you then go to the Webconfig WPAD settings screen you get a Ooooops: IP Address Invalid and cannot access the screen. I would have thought it should not fail at this point but perhaps just skip over the interface. Also, with a static IP it could possibly be considered as valid. If you then delete the NIC definition in Network > Settings > IP Settings, you can get into the WPAD screen, but it still shows up the DHCP server for the now deleted interface in the WPAD Settings. Arguably this is a Network bug as deleting the interface should also delete the DHCP server, but on the other hand, if the WPAD is validating the NICs, I don't think it should be displaying info for invalid NICs either. Also if you have an interface of Type=DHCP, why does the WPAD app try to get you to configure it? I think it is displaying incorrectly as all NIC names are called DHCP,interface_name(base_address_of_subnet) whether they are static or Dynamic.

Note that if you If you try clicking on the "configure" link for an interface with an unconfigured DHCP server, you also get an Ooooops. |
