Summary | 0001512: Extend Intrusion Prevention WHitelisting to allow CIDR and FQDN notation
Description | Currently the Inteusion Prevention webconfig only allows you to enter single IP's but toe underlying file allows CIDR subnets and FQDN's. Yesterday I say a lot of blocks by the Shellcode rule set when downloading a Microsoft Win 7 program. Microsoft use the Akamai network for software distribution and it is much easier to whitelist akamai.com then individual IP's. Similarly it would be easer to whitelist subnets as the blocks I am seeing are in a single subnet.
