+1 for this. Perhaps a section which is more "read-only" with all existing cron jobs for all ClearOS apps, and an editable section (empty by default) with all the cron jobs admins set up on their own. Perhaps each app could / should have a cron section? http://www.clearfoundation.com/docs/howtos/creating_a_clearos_module [^] If a GUI is too much work, a wiki page with the recommended, future-proof way to add crons would be good as well :-) Suggesting to use "nice" would be nice ;-) http://superuser.com/questions/537509/nice-commands-in-a-sh-script-for-cron-jobs [^] Thanks! |

It would be good to be able to run as a specific user. All ClearOS users of course, but also as root or Apache. |

Cron jobs often pertain to a specific application, so perhaps they could be managed via the app. |
