0000644: Either the repo's are set up incorrectly or the developer docs are wrong
If you follow this link: http://www.clearfoundation.com/docs/developer/development_environment [^] and install the development tools you hit a dependency with the kernel headers - see this post: http://www.clearfoundation.com/component/option,com_kunena/Itemid,232/catid,24/func,view/id,42342/#42443. [^] Kernel-headers are in the clearos-dev repo so either the instructions are wrong or the repo set up is wrong.
In my opinion the kernel-headers and kernel-devel packages are in the wrong repo. In 5.2 these packages were available by default as were all the development tools. Now you need an in-depth knowledge of where all the files come from to install the development tools. Also by default you will not get any updates (including any security ones or critical patches) to these packages as "yum update" will skip the clearos-dev, clearos-developer and clearos-epel repos.

Hi NickH.

- Yes, a whole bunch of packages in clearos-dev will be moving to the clearos-addons. There's an open doc that the development team needs to review before making this change. I will move some of the packages (like kernel-devel) today, but others still need review.

- Just so you know, July 1 is our internal deadline for getting the developer docs up-to-speed. We're making progress here and there, but ClearBOX and the 16 apps in the Mail Stack are the higher priority at the moment.

All good.

- The kernel-devel and kernel-headers packages are now in clearos-addons
- The *-devel packages (e.g. cups-devel) are also now in clearos-addons

The clearos-addons repository is enabled by default, so updates will be automatic. If you would like to have EPEL updates applied automatically, then please install the epel-release package from http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL [^]
