HTTPS is needed to access https://example.org/webaccess [^]
SMTP (25) is needed to receive mail.

As an example, https://example.org:81/app/ssh_server [^] has a very user-friendly message: "The app is installed, but the firewall is not allowing connections from external networks."

When configuring Thunderbird with Zarafa, there is a wizard that auto-detects all the settings from just the email & password. This works well but requires ports the following ports to be opened:
* IMAP (143)
* SMTP (25)
