In web pages, tabs are used to move between fields while "enter" is linked to the default form action. Moving away from this standard would make webconfig non-standard.
Note: this may also be an accessibility issue.

I think the problem here is that from gconsole, the knowledge that you are in a web-browser is limited to those that realize that you are in a web browser. So the behavior expected from a 'non-web' experience is different. I understand the breaking accessibility because that would affect the real web browser experience. Perhaps a work around that preserves the 'submit' on enter would be an auto-refresh that lands you in the password field if the submit contains a blank entry for password. |
