Summary | 0001297: On network change, delete wins.dat and restart nmb if it is running
Description | If you change your LAN, your old LAN IP still resides in the nmb cache, wins.dat, as master browser. This generates a lot of errors: [2013/08/25 05:45:11.047513, 0] nmbd/nmbd_browsesync.c:486(get_domain_master_name_node_status_fail) get_domain_master_name_node_status_fail: Doing a node status request to the domain master browser at IP 192.168.3.1 failed. Cannot get workgroup name. The only way I could clear it was to stop nmb, delete wins.dat then restart nmb (or delete out all entries relating to the old network, but deleting wins.dat is easier)
Steps To Reproduce | Change your LAN interface to a different subnet then reboot.
